A gala day of tennis November 14, 2024 in Sport Oberon Tennis Club was full of excitement as it hosted a highly successful School Gala Day on Thursday, November 7. Over 100 students from four local schools (Oberon Public School, O'Connell Public School, St Joseph's Catholic School and Hampton Public School) gathered for a fun-filled day of tennis, learning and friendly competition. Cricket comes back to O'Connell November 7, 2024 in Sport Cricket returned to O'Connell on Sunday, November 3, for the annual Fish River Cup match between O'Connell and Tarana. The match was the first to be played at the new Recreation Ground on the corner of Beaconsfield and O'Connell Roads. See the rest of the story here

Media Release - Squash courts facelift completed October 17, 2024 in Community and Sport Squash players will now be playing on flash new courts at Oberon RSL as renovations are completed. The She Wolves continued their unbroken lossless run to take home the gold, the Under 15s hockey players came second and the senior men's hockey team also missed out on gold. And there was golf too. Hold the back page! The sport is coming. September 19, 2024 in Sport Hockey, golf, and ponies. Ponies! With the seasons ending for many sports, the big news is that the Mens and the Under 15s hockey teams are through to the Grand Finals, joining the 3rd Grade Women soccer players.
