Too much sport really is almost enough November 7, 2024
Oberon Tigers Senior League The Oberon Tigers are pleased to announce our coaches for the 2025 season: Shan Foley and Nic Barlow. Shan brings with her several years of experience, and with a young and keen side that she has been developing ready to take their game to another level next year, we cannot wait for them to hit the paddock. Nic will be in his second year at the club, and first year coaching. He brings representative and Sydney system experience, as well as youthful energy that will be invaluable as the club looks to head in a new and exciting direction in 2025. Congratulations to both of our coaches and good luck. We will also be announcing some very new and exciting signings over the next few weeks, as a changing of the guard and a different direction the club is heading begins to take place that should have all of our sponsors and supporters excited.

Oberon Pony Club The pony club held its annual Gymkhana on Sunday, November 3. It was one of those days when everything was happening at once, so Oberon Matters was only able to stay for a short while in the morning to get some photos. Here's what Helen Storey from the Club had to say about the day: On Sunday 3rd November 2024 Oberon Pony Club held its annual gymkhana at the Oberon Equestrian Centre. With over 35 participants from various local clubs including Carcoar, Lithgow, Bathurst and some travelling from as far as Vines and Sun Valley to compete! It was a fabulous day out. A frosty start had parents reaching for their winter woollies and kids shivering through the initial events showing their commitment to their love of horses. Over the day, events such as hacking, dressage, showjumping, sporting and stockmans challenge kept participants busy and parents following closely behind with camera in hand. Everyone had a fantastic time with the shootout of sporting at the end of the day bringing in lots of cheers. Thank you to all the amazing sponsors for the event that went towards the prizes for each age group and made the raffle at the end of the day extra fun! Local and international sponsors included Sargents Rural Oberon, Ariat, Oberon Saddlery, CEN horse nutrition, Oberon Earthmoving, Impressa Equine, Bathurst Vet, Clippity Clop rug cleaning and repairs, Elders Emms Mooney, CES Chloe Equine Services, Anthea Moran Comfort Bits, Equinade, Seasonal threads Oberon, Mickie Magan Equine, The Hoof Co, Oberon Council, Equine Performance Dentistry, Bullen & Co, Paudha Healing, Penelope Claire Pony wear, Drays Rural contracting, Amie Hoolihan Photography, MW Nails n Beauty, Oberon Concrete, Elite Equine, Physiopoint Equine fitness packs, Oberon Newsagency and many more locally handmade products donated to the raffle
