Burraga Redfin Roundup October 31, 2024 October 26 and 27 saw 106 fisherpersons descend on the Burraga Dam for the inaugural Redfin Roundup to remove as many of these pasts from the dam as possible. Organiser Andrew Fawns couldn't be more happy because he thought that about 40 people might turn up to the first time the event was held, but 106 was outside anyone's expectations. This might have been the first time, but it will almost certainly become an annual event. The day wasn't just about fishing. After the gear was packed away, everyone went to the Burraga Sports & Recreation Club for some cool beers, sausage sandwiches, entertainment by MWT and for the kids, some jumping castles. A good time was had by all. Oberon Matters arrived late on the Sunday (too many things to do at once) and had to leave before the music started but there were signs that everyone was settling in for a long night.
Because of the late arrival and early departure, photos from the two days came from a variety of sources. Some from the Fishing Shed at Bathurst (one of the sponsors of the event along with Pines Wind Farm), some from Helen Hayden, some from the Oberon Matters camera, and probably some from other people and places.
