 | Excitement in the forests is coming to Oberon Forest rallying returns to Oberon with events on October 31 and November 14. On October 31, the Australian Motor Sport Action Group (AMSAG) will be holding a rally based on Black Springs. The service park will be the Avoca Reserve and the action will take place in Vulcan and Essington State Forests. The roads in these forests provide excellent action for both competitors and spectators. Two weeks later the Rally Car Club will be running the final round of the NSW Rally Championship. The service park and rally HQ will be at the Oberon Sports Complex with competition happening in Jenolan and Hampton State Forests. If you want to get even closer to the action, both events require officials and you don't have to have any specialised knowledge. Officials are always needed for road closures, timing control points and spectator control. For more details contact AMSAG or the Rally Car Club. Better still, contact both of them. |
When most sport stops, the golfers don't Almost all sports have finished their seasons and celebrated with presentations, but the golfers just keep getting back out there doing a whatever it is that golfers do. |  |
 | Sport winds down for the season With almost all the sports reaching the end of their seasons, it was a week of presentations and looking back to 2026 and forward to 2027. |
Just a little bit of sport Now that almost everyone's season is over it's down to the golfers to keep the sporting flag flying. The men over at Oberon United FC got through to the Grand Final but, alas, only achieved a Silver Medal. Next year! |  |

Opinion - When adults behave like children Oberon Men's Senior League team won the Grand Final and made us all proud. Then they did something that should make us ashamed to even know them. |
The sport goes on regardless The seasons arte winding down for most sports around town. There are a few Grand Finals coming up and we wish the teams that have made it this far very good luck (but good playing beats luck any time). |  |
 | All the sport, all around The big news of the week is of course the Oberon Tigers senior men's team winning their second Grand Final on the trot. Lets go for the treble in 2027. Other sports happened of course, with the ladies who kick round balls going into the Grand Final and the men just one match away. |
Winners and losers - that's the way sport goes You can't win every time. That's why they make silver medals. But that doesn't take away the fun and the reason for playing sport. |  |
