When too much sport is barely enough May 16, 2024 As well as the regular
weekend sport, there was a lot of sporting activity at Oberon's
schools this week. Oberon Pony Club The weather wasn't what was wanted for Oberon Pony Club's rally, but a suitable indoor arena was found. As the Club's Danielle Doff said: "Huge Thank You to Emily Willowtree Stables for hosting our rally today! Due to the wet slippery conditions we all thoroughly enjoyed the fabulous indoor arena with great footing for all our Mother’s Day fun and games!"
Oberon Junior Hockey Association Congratulations to our junior, Harry Burns, who represented Bathurst District at the under 14’s State Championships at Taree this weekend. They finished 5th in their division, which was a great result given the tough weather conditions. Well done Harry!

Senior teams had a bye this weekend. Oberon Golf Club Thursday golf results. Winner was Stan Evans with 29 points. Balls went to Hamish Gidley-Barin, Peter Marks Nearest to the pin on the 1st was won by Graham Whittaker. Big congratulations to Scott Hoolihan for his eagle also.
26 players ventured out on this fine Scottish Summers Day to contest the Pneumonia Cup but only 22 made it back. Sam Gascoigne fleeced the field with 37 points in A-Grade winning on a count back from Hamish Anderson. In B-Grade, only Dylan Harvey stumbled over the 30 point threshold with 31 points to to win by 3 from Mathew Foran with 28 points. Highlights of the day - NTPs (in cms) - 1st: Peter Dylan G - 295
