Groove Makers Students in 3/4S are having a blast exploring rhythm and beat! They've been clapping, stomping and composing their own rhythms, all the while sharpening their listening skills to stay in sync with the beat as part of a group. The energy and excitement in our weekly music lessons is infectious as they discover the joy of creating music together. Kelly Sheppard l Classroom Teacher
Brilliant Beats In 4/5A, students are learning about the beat of music by using clapping sticks. They are having fun with some of their favourite songs, trying to notice and make different rhythms. This activity helps them understand music better while they work together and share their ideas about the beats in a fun and exciting way. Taya Austen l Classroom teacher

Hampton students had a great time getting ready for this weekend's Lithgow Show. We put the final touches to our decorated cupcakes and home-grown eggs! Obviously we took our inspiration from the Hampton playground, as butterflies, flowers, lizards and soccer goals were all on show. It was a great excuse to have some cupcakes at lunchtime as well!
It was great to see us enjoy loads of success at the Lithgow Show last weekend. The students received lots of prizes for our writing and artwork, and it is with particular pleasure that we were also awarded "Most Successful Exhibitor - Junior Cooking" for our decorated eggs and cupcakes. Once again, hats off to Katie and Mrs Healey for organising our display at the show!
St Joseph's Catholic School The big news this week was the fete, and you can see some photos from the day here.
