Magic at The Malachi

K-2 students were enchanted by the chamber music at the community concert, "Music Colours Our World". It was an uplifting, vibrant and engaging performance for children to participate in. We extend our thanks to Lucy and the Team at The Malachi Gilmore Hall for bringing such a unique experience to the children.

Skillful Skipping

1/2T are having a blast and getting fit with some high-energy skipping lessons during fitness this term. Students are perfecting their basic jumps, challenging themselves, or going for high knees, all while working on their coordination, strength, and endurance. It's wonderful to see how much progress they are making while having fun.

Future Swimmers in the Making

Students from K-6 are currently making a splash at the Oberon Pool Complex as they participate in a structured swimming program. It’s fantastic to see so many students building their confidence in the water and learning this life-saving skill. We're incredibly proud of their growth and improvement. A big shout-out to the amazing pool staff who are keeping the fun going with exciting activities each day!

We welcomed Lindsay from Living Safely with Pets to speak to the students about the correct way to approach and interact with any dogs that they meet. Lindsey had some help from her special friend, Sherlock, so the students had plenty of opportunity to practise their meet and greet skills.

Gingerbread Magic

Oberon High School is excited to participate in O'Connell Public School's P & C Gingerbread House Competition. Our talented visual arts students, Irene Kim, Libby Taylor, Claire McKinnon and Brittany Redman have put their creativity to work, designing and painting OHS's stunning contribution to the event. Using the wooden house cutout donated by the O’Connell Public School P & C, they crafted a vibrant piece that truly captures the festive spirit. Be sure to spot our Gingerbread House on display as you drive through the village of O'Connell.
