A perfect day for the Artisans' Market

The weather the day before made everyone nervous, but conditions couldn't have been better for the 2025 Artisans' Market at St Thomas Church in O'Connell. Large crowds came along to sample the wares from about 40 exhibitors. Oberon Matters had a wander around pointing the camera at things.

The money raised goes towards the renovation of the rectory. The building has been partly restored and now houses the Old Rectory Store, but there's still a lot of work to be done.

Someone in the media business once told me that the only people who would want to read about an artisans' market would be the exhibitors, because nobody else would be interested. The crowds at this year's event and the busy car park strongly suggest that he was wrong. It was the second most visited page on the Oberon Matters site in November 2025.
