If sport's your thingJuly 2, 2026
What an amazing weekend of netball for round 8 for Oberon Netball Club! U12s had an amazing win this week with a score of 5-0 with all girls played so well and Torah playing an energetic game being named Player of the Match! Our U16s played a good game but was unfortunately defeated but the girls are improving so much with fewer penalties being called and more possession of the ball and Player of the Match was Jasmine who has come along so far and was able to take to the court this week. The Seniors had their first win of the season and absolutely smashing it 33-19, it is so wonderful to see how far the ladies have come in a short time. Well done to Acacia for taking out Player of the Match! And a big shout out to this week’s umpires, Amanda and Acacia for doing a fantastic job on the courts once again.

Not really a great week for our favourite Wolves, but someone once said "You can't win them all". The teams will be back in future weeks and better results will certainly come their way. Comment from the club: GAME DAY RESULTS A tough weekend on the field for our teams, but plenty of positives to take away. Our Under 13s put in an outstanding effort, playing some fantastic football and giving it their all right until the final whistle. Despite going down, the team should be incredibly proud of the way they played. The Women’s side were involved in an absolute nail-biter, with the game coming down to the very final moments. Unfortunately, they were heartbreakingly defeated in the last 15 seconds, but the effort and determination shown throughout the match was outstanding. Our Men’s team took the field short on numbers but showed tremendous grit and determination. The boys dug deep and put in an amazing performance, never giving up despite the challenges. Unfortunately, they couldn’t quite come away with the win, but they should be proud of the effort they displayed. Well done to all our players, coaches and supporters for another great weekend representing OUFC.
Oberon Women's Bowls Club Our winners and runners-up for our 2024 and 2025 championships.

St Joseph's Catholic School Well done Matt Joseph Congratulations to MattJoseph Rounds who trialled for the Rugby League Polding team last week. He played so well, even scored a try, and should be so proud of his efforts and dedication to the sport. MattJoseph then went on to play in a small schools Rugby Gala day in Orange with the St. Phil’s team. A big thank you to Mr. Parslow and the boys who invited and included Matt for this sporting day. They won 3 out of the 4 games and came 3rd overall on the day. Congratulations Matt.
