ROUND 4 2026 Weekly Wrap Up

Under 6 Black vs Panthers Gold
Under 6 Black had a tough hit out against Panthers Gold. The young Tigers worked hard all game and introduced some great second phase play, with strong passing and powerful running into open spaces creating plenty of opportunities. A big congratulations to Tilly, who was named Player of the Week for her outstanding effort and determination on the field. Well done Tigers!

Under 6 Gold vs Panthers Black
Another outstanding performance from our mighty U6s Gold team! such incredible team support, effort and big smiles out on the field today The improvement every week has been amazing to watch. Great team scoring work from Rose ivy and Huxley this week doing an awesome job supporting each other throughout the game with great line defence and lots of tries Ashton and Ryan had another fantastic game both showing fast footwork helping the boys find the try line and not letting anyone past with their tagging skills and solid defence Player of the Week went to Bill for his fantastic effort, teamwork, and positive attitude throughout the game. Bill showed great energy on the field and never stopped trying.

Under 7s Tigers vs St Pats
Great to see the Under 7s back in action for Round 4, travelling to Eglington to take on St Pats in another energetic and enjoyable game. The Tigers showed great teamwork and enthusiasm throughout, with plenty of strong runs and determined tagging on display. Ace had an absolute blinder with his tags, while Dalcie and Zeke worked hard across the field. Archie, James and Jaxon continued their strong form with great effort in both attack and defence, while Bodhi brought plenty of energy, as the whole team continues to improve each week. A special congratulations to Jenson, who was awarded Player of the Match after a fantastic all-round performance and great teamwork.

Under 8s - Tigers vs St Pays
The Oberon Tigers took on St Pats at Eglinton in a great game of footy. The team showed excellent teamwork throughout the match with some great tackles, strong runs and plenty of fantastic tries scored. All the players worked hard and played really well together. Moorhead Engineering and Elders Emms Mooney Player of the Week went to Lane for an outstanding performance.

Under 9s Tigers vs Eglington
Our under 9s played Eglinton at Eglinton and put in our most impressive performance so far this season. Everything that we touched just worked from the kick off. Some fantastic runs from Cooper Elwin and Zeb Maher had the defense all over the place. Strong defence led by Jarrod Bartkowiak never really gave Ego a chance. On the back of that defence allowed Harry Bailey and Heath Bartkowiak to go over for there first try’s of the year. As always a special thanks to the 4 boys who played up and helped us out with numbers. After the full time whistle whilst shaking hands a parent from the opposition came over and commented on how great it was to see the sportsmanship and the manner our boys carried themselves throughout the match so well done to everyone of our players.

Players player this week went to Zeb Maher and Ruben Casey. Ruben along side Cody Robert’s helped out Ego with numbers and scored some great try’s. The improvement in a few short months by Ruben is so good to see.

Our other player of the week went to Zeb. In the 3 years I have coached this side i have watched Zeb grow and grow into a great footy player and his improvement is out of sight.

Under 12s Tigers vs Panthers Round 4
Under 12s took on the panthers at home this weekend With some moisture on the field ball security was always going to be tricky, with more errors than usual the young tiges had to do a lot of extra defence during the game Still plenty of things to work on at training with 2 weeks off now they will be well rested and ready to take on mudgee round 6 at home.

Under 14s Tigers vs Orange Bloomfield
The U14s took on an impressive Bloomfield outfit on the weekend and showed incredible heart to come away with a thrilling 30-all draw. After finding themselves down 30-12 with just 10 minutes remaining, the boys dug deep and produced an outstanding late-game comeback, piling on 18 unanswered points to claw their way back into the contest. The final stages were packed with tough defence, big collisions and some exciting attacking football as the team refused to give in. Special mention goes to Oscar Bright, who crossed for multiple tries and was dangerous every time he touched the ball, while Mason Christie-Johnston was outstanding with the boot under pressure, calmly slotting the crucial conversions to help seal the draw. A massive effort from the entire squad against quality opposition, showing plenty of character, resilience and belief right to the final whistle. The boys have the bye this weekend with plenty to work on, but one thing they proved on the weekend is they are never beaten while there is still time on the clock.
