Oberon Pony Club gets its new club houseApril 16, 2026 The Oberon Pony Club has only been going since 1957 which is why it took until now to get a proper working club house. Funded by a grant from the NSW Government and an additional grant from the Veolia Mulwaree Trust specifically for the commercial kitchen, the facility was opened on Sunday, April 12. The new building doesn't just provide somewhere warm (which was really appreciated on one of the coldest days this year) but will allow the Club to host events with catering. Paul Toole MP and Councillor Katie Graham both spoke about the importance of the Club, especially to the kids who were introduced at a very young age to the sort of responsibilities called for to play a sport involving both animals and travel. There were some presentations made to people who had put in the hard work to make the building possible. The Club has only about 30 members and they have to be congratulated both for the work to get the club house finished and for their enthusiasm or the sport. The monthly meetings will be so much better now that there's somewhere to gather out of the elements once the riding is done.
