Oberon Rodeo

What an extraordinary event yesterday at Oberon Rodeo Association Inc. Oberon Rodeo.

By all accounts, this would have been one of the largest crowds ever recorded - a true testament to the hard work, dedication and commitment of the entire committee and their volunteers.

This event is without question the cream of the crop when it comes to local events. It showcases the very best of our district and draws competitors and spectators from right across Australia - and even internationally. That speaks volumes about the reputation Oberon Rodeo now holds.

To our local competitors who continue to represent Oberon with skill, grit and determination - your achievements on the national stage bring enormous pride to our community. To our visiting riders, contractors, stock providers and sponsors - thank you for helping elevate this event to elite status.

But most importantly, to the committee and volunteers - the months of preparation, the unseen hours, the logistics, the risk management, the sponsorship coordination, the grounds preparation - this success belongs to you. Events of this calibre do not happen by accident.

Oberon should be incredibly proud.

This is what strong community leadership, hard work and passion looks like.

Oberon Rodeo - setting the benchmark.

And who can forget the dance off!

Open Boys Basketball

Last week, our Open Boys Basketball team travelled to Bathurst to compete against four other schools in an exciting tournament! The boys showed incredible sportsmanship, supporting each other and respecting their opponents every step of the way. Unfortunately, there were no wins on the day, but they gained valuable experience and appreciated the opportunity to play and enjoy time together as a team.
