Oberon United Football Club
Oberon RSL Bowling Club A gallant effort by Jason Byrnes in the Rookies Singles. Whilst he didn't win either of his games he was up against stiff opposition and put up a great fight. For someone relatively new to the game he should be proud of his efforts and he's sure to represent himself and this club admirably in the future. Well done Jason Tim Huckins Oberon Golf Club Thursday golf results for August 7 The winner was Laurie Murphy with 29 points Runner up went to Tony Ryan. Oberon Tigers Junior League Round 12 Wrap up - Last round got our Minis and 11s U6s Thank you to everyone who helped and volunteered this year, to the committee for doing such a sensational job week in, week out and last but not least to all of our sponsors!! We can't wait to see you all again in 2026! U7s On a cold and rainy Saturday in Lithgow, our little Tigers gave it everything in their final game of the season. They played to the best of their ability, making the most of every opportunity to score tries when the ball came their way. Our defence was rock solid, making it extremely difficult for the Eels to find any gaps. It's been incredible to see just how far this team has come over the season - their teamwork, determination, and skill have grown with every match. A huge congratulations to Howard's Auto and Electrical Player of the Match, Harry Bailey, for his outstanding effort on the field. U9s Our Under 9s headed to Lithgow this week determined to keep our undefeated season alive - and they did it in style, coming away with a dominant 14 tries to 7 victory. This means our little Tigers went the entire season without a single loss - what an incredible achievement! The weather was miserable, but from the very first set, when Riley Orenshaw ran the length of the field to put us on the board, we were in complete control of the match. Howard's Auto Electrical Player of the Week was awarded to two players this round:
That's a wrap for the season! A massive thank you to all the parents - from washing jerseys to getting the kids to training and games - your support has been incredible. A special thank you to Desiree Rigelsford for all the work as team manager this year and everything you've done behind the scenes. Well done Tigers - you should all be very proud of yourselves! U11s Thanks also to all the kids who offered to help the Under 12s Cowra team, with Lexi, Brax, Maisy, Jaxon, and James stepping up and playing for them. Player of the Week goes to Eliki for a fantastic game! Also dont forget we will have an under 11s Carnival on Saturday 27th September
U13s What. A. Game. Our Oberon Tigers/Bathurst Panthers U13s boys wrapped up the regular season in true champion fashion with a brutal, hard-hitting 26-10 win over a fired-up Bloomfield Tigers side over the weekend. Bloomfield came ready to play and showed they weren't going to back down. It was an arm-wrestle early, with both sides going try for try and heading into the halftime break locked at 10-all. The intensity was high, the hits were massive, and neither side was willing to give an inch. But after the break, our boys dug deep. With steely defence and smart footy, they held Bloomfield scoreless in the second half and piled on 16 unanswered points to seal the win. It was tough, it was physical, and it was a real show of heart and teamwork. Final score: 26-10 Undefeated season complete Back-to-back Minor Premiers That win not only locks in the minor premiership for the second year in a row, but also caps off a perfect, undefeated regular season. An incredible achievement by a team that just keeps showing up for each other week after week. Huge credit to the boys, coaches, and everyone behind the scenes - your hard work, discipline, and team spirit have been unreal all season. Now, we enjoy a well-deserved week off as we watch Blayney take on Cowra in the semi-final. We'll face the winner in what's sure to be a cracking major semi
