Oberon Polocrosse Club Over the weekend of Jne 28-29, the Oberon Polocross team travelled to the Braidwood Polocross Carnival. The travelling team consisted off nine senior players and one subbie to represent our club. Both Saturday and Sunday were bright sunny days, welcomed by great games of Polocross. Oberon fielded a full team in the C Grade, and two players joining Bungendore 2 and one player playing in the D grade competition. playing 1 The team had great weekend coming home with 3 wins and 1 loss. Very close games playing Bungendore 2 and Braidwood 2. Simon and Jack Graf played up in Bungendore 2, playing 1 and 3, having a great weekend and versing fellow Oberon players. Brianna Kirby played as a number 3 in a D grade team where she had a smashing weekend improving each game! Representing Oberon in the sub-junior section, Toby Graf played as a number 3 against a vast array of young Polocrosse players from many clubs, enjoying each game on his horse Buck. Oberon Golf Club Thursday golf results for July 3. During the month of July the Thursday golfers will be supporting the Mark Hughes foundation Beanie for brain cancer The winner will receive a beanie as the trophy. Today's winner was Chris Boardman with 27 points Balls went to Kim Rawlings, Tony Ryan, Peter Griffiths, Mitch Hollihan, Glen Behan, Jason Barllett and Brendan Sanders Nearest to the pin on the 1st was won by Peter Ryan.
Sunday was the Monthly Medal, a gorgeous winters day with 52 starters . A Grade was won for a second week by Hamish Anderson with
71 and the runner up Chris Kalos with 72 Nearest to the pins were: 1st - R. Cameron (Lithgow) 793cm
Oberon Tigers Senior League Despite our ladies best efforts yesterday they were unable to secure the win however have improved throughout the season. Rain, hail or shine our boys rose to the occasion and with a nail biting game, won by just 2 points and are back on top of the ladder. Oberon Junior Rugby League On Saturday our U11s played and they came away with a win 32-26.
