Oberon Golf Club Australia Day four person Ambrose 55 players were out on the course on Australia Day, and all in it for a beautiful lamb meat tray courtesy of Rob and Kylie McGrath.
Thursday golf results for January 30 A good field turned up to play The winner was Scott Hoolihan with 30 after a count back. Runner up went to Jason Barllett Balls went to Harold Lyme, Stan Evans, Paul Behan, Peter Ryan, Peter Griffiths, Josh Claridge, Nathan Booth, Mitch Hollihan ,Barry Hoolihan, Graham Whittaker, Blake Pointon and Peter Marks Nearest to the pin on the 1st was won by Eric Whalan Oberon Rodeo Association Congratulations on being declared the Australian Bushmen's Campdraft and Rodeo Association's Committee of the Year.

It’s incredibly rewarding to be acknowledged by both our competitors and the members of the ABCRA for the hard work and dedication we put into our events. The season hasn't started yet, but both men's and women's senior teams have started training, and the juniors are building their teams. Exciting times ahead.
Everyone is getting ready for the 2025 season, with registrations in full swing. And of course, the 2024 senior ladies team won Sports Team of the Year at the Australia Day awards.
Progress on the grounds Work is continuing on both the Oberon Sports Complex and the O'Connell Recreation Ground to ensure that the area has the best facilities for sports in the future.

Max Honoured Year 10 student Max Meredith had an incredible weekend in January, being recognised for his outstanding achievements in sport. At the official Australia Day awards held at the Oberon Library & Community Centre, Max was named Sportsperson of the Year. That same weekend, he competed at the 2024 National Finals Rodeo in Tamworth, where he was crowned Australian Champion Under 14 Steer Rider. Max then travelled from Tamworth to Taralga Rodeo where he won the Junior Bull ride. This remarkable achievement highlights his talent, perseverance and passion for rodeo. Congratulations Max!
