There's more to sport than the Olympics

August 8, 2024

Oberon Tigers Senior League

Unfortunately the Tigers came second in the first elimination round of the 2024 Woodbridge Cup, going down to the Peak Hill Roosters.

The Club made this comment:

"Despite a great effort from our boys yesterday they unfortunately couldn’t come home with the win. That draws a close for us for the 2024 season. We would like to thank our amazing sponsors, coaches and players for all your support and hard work this year. We will be back!"

That's it for 2024, but Oberon Matters (and the entire town) is looking forward to the Tigers coming back better and stronger in 2025.

Oberon United Football Club

The ladies continued their winning streak, downing Macquarie United by 4 goals to zero. Goals were scored by Jorja Taylor, Ebony Howard and Paige Corby (2), with goalie Cass Ramires keeping the opposition out and scoreless.

The Under 13s were not as successful, going down by two goals to nothing against Scots All Saints.

Everyone still had a good time (in much better weather than last time), and here are some pictures of the action.

Having fun yet? Of course we are.
