As Lucy would say, "You're a good sport Charlie Brown."

One of our new young members, Charlie Brown (playing off a 25 handicap) had the round of the day (and his best golf to date) with 38 points to win B-Grade on a count back from Stan Evans who also had a great score of 38 points with Robyn Stapleton a shot behind with a very fine 37 points.

In A-Grade, our fearless leader - El Presidente Barry Lang made a sensational up and down for par on the last from down near the 17th tee for a round of 36 points and the win. Darren Gordon was runner up, 2 points behind which was double the margin his beloved Swannies lost to Freo by yesterday. Eric Whalan was in third spot on a count back also with 34 points. Balls were awarded down to 31 points.

Congratulations Mason!

Congratulations to Mason Christie-Johnston who was was selected in the Western Region Golf Team. Not only was he the only player selected, based on the overall score, he also won the event! Mason will now travel to the Hunter Valley in September to play in the NSW PSSA State Golf Championships. Well done Mason.

Then there's Oberon High School

Rural Cup!

On Thursday June 27 students and staff travelled to Molong Central School for the next leg of Rural Cup. While the result did not go in our favour, our students started the day strong and demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship right up until the end. As staff, we could not be prouder of how they fought hard and tried their best across the wide range of sports on offer on the day. A huge thank you to the organisational team and all staff in general, who as usual came together to make it a great day.
