February 22, 2024

The Oberon Tigers are excited to announce coaches for the 2024 season, Shannon Foley and Dallas Booth. Shan coached the league tag side for four years, with last year off. She has had a significant impact in our club embodying the core values of the Tigers Club being determination, sportsmanship and resilience. Dallas previously coached our men’s side for eight years and won the grand final in 2020. Dallas is passionate about our small town football club and has an intricate understanding of the game. With history of playing and coaching both Shan and Dallas take pride in mentoring past and future players empowering them to grow and succeed both on and off the field. With the 2024 season about to start, local lads in Robby Walsh and Wil Melchers have committed again for the season. Robby is a fullback and was the Tigers' 2023 Best and Fairestas well as representing the Woodbridge Cup rep side, while Wil was his runner up in the Best and Fairest polls for 2023, and is equally at home in the outside backs or back row. Both players have been leading the way at training and will be an integral part of the team's strive for success.

Two more signings for 2024 are  ageless club stalwarts, Luke Christie Johnston and Greg Behan. Both representative front rowers, their experience, toughness and old school approach to footy will be invaluable in laying a platform for the team while helping the younger forwards learn from two of the best.

Aslo back for 2024 are the current Woodbridge Cup player of the year Blake Fitzpatrick and Woodbridge Cup top try scorer Caylib Marston. With electric footwork, speed around the ruck and solid defence, this pair that were involved in the Tigers' 2020 premiership  ill be a huge focal point in both attack and defence, and when they fire will go a long way towards the team winning more often than not!
