Schools are jumping. And doing other things, tooNovember 5, 2026
Our brains have been busy learning! Our 1/2S students are exploring the fascinating world of sensory information and discovering how our amazing brains help us make sense of everything we see, hear, smell, taste and feel. Through hands-on investigations, discussions and fun learning experiences, students are examining how our senses collect information and how our brains process and interpret it. We are becoming curious scientists, making observations, asking questions and sharing our discoveries along the way. Kelly Sheppard | Classroom Teacher
Safe and Sound Our stage 3 students have arrived safe and sound in Canberra and have had an action packed first day. Students visited Government House before enjoying Questacon, the Electoral Education Centre, where they got to run their own election and finished the day with a tour of the Australian Institute of Sport. A terrific start to our Canberra adventure. Stage 3 Teachers
Terrific Thursday Our stage 3 students have had another busy day in Canberra. First up, a visit to Parliament House where we were able to see our government in action. With parliament sitting we even spotted the prime minister! The students got to meet our local Member for Calare, Mr Andrew Gee! Then it was time to learn about the history of democracy at the Museum of Australian Democracy. Students enjoyed relaxing at swim and slide. We are looking forward to another busy day tomorrow. Stage 3 Teachers
Homeward Bound Stage 3 students were up bright and early to head to the Royal Australian Mint and before learning more about Australia's military history at the Australian War memorial. It has been a wonderful experience and the students have shown exemplary behaviour throughout as well as being commended on their knowledge. The bus is estimated to arrive back at 5:00pm. A big thank you to all the amazing staff who have attended and provided our students with these wonderful experiences; Mr Cameron Wright, Mrs Danni-Lee Thompson, Mrs Karissa Turner and Ms Justine Dabroski
Science Success K/1M have been learning about living things and how they move in Science. Students have learnt about characteristics of animals that live in the air, water and land. They have been busy researching the ways animals move and creating posters to display in the classroom. Nicola McMahon | Classroom Teacher
