Oberon High School Race Day Last Friday, our students enjoyed a unique opportunity to witness a world-class international sporting event right in their own backyard at Mount Panorama, Bathurst. Beyond the thrill of the races, they gained valuable insights into teamwork, engineering, media and event management. We are proud to say our students represented Oberon High exceptionally well on the day - demonstrating enthusiasm, curiosity and great school spirit throughout the event! Year 8 Science Fun! Our Year 8 Science students had an exciting hands-on lesson. They mixed colours in test tubes to create a vibrant rainbow of new colours! Through this experiment, they practiced measuring and recording data carefully. This activity helps build their ability in scientific observation and data collection skills. Culinary Skills Stage 6 students explored important culinary techniques in their Methods of Cookery unit by baking delicious Orange Cup Puddings. Through this hands-on activity, students developed key skills such as precise baking methods and the careful segmentation of fruit. Laura Young | TAS Teacher
Hampton Public School The Small Schools Swimming Carnival, held at Lithgow pool, brought together students from Hampton, Cullen Bullen, and Megalong Public Schools, who displayed impressive swimming abilities and teamwork. Thanks are due to the staff, parents, and grandparents who contributed to making the day a success.

Oberon Public School Super Support Students at OPS are supported in improvement and extension by our wonderful support staff, Mrs Belynda Ruhan, Mrs Natalie Beattie and Ms Eva Fait. Mrs Ruhan is also our teacher librarian and ensures our students are up to date with the latest books in their library lessons. Mrs Beattie is always available to support students with their learning needs. Ms Fait teaches Personal Development and Health as part of the release from face to face program. Swimming Champions! Oberon Public School held its annual swimming carnival on Friday 6th February at the Oberon Pool Complex. Student participation was high and it was great to see students entering themselves in new races. The level of sportsmanship and house spirit was excellent and gave the carnival a great feel. A big thank you to all the parents who volunteered and assisted on the day, your support is greatly appreciated. Congratulations to Hampton who were the winning house.
