Teachers Introducing our wonderful Stage 2 teachers. Children in Years 3 and 4 are very lucky to have committed teachers who are dedicated to quality educational experiences for our children. Our Stage 2 teachers for 2026 are Mrs Taya Austen, Mrs Chloe Killen and Ms Erin McMurray.

For those who are new to Oberon Public School, I would like to introduce you to our school executive team: Mrs Jo'elle Frampton (Principal), Ms Erin McMurray, Mrs Emma Graham, Mrs Danni-Lee Thompson and Mrs Nicola McMahon (Assistant Principals). Our assistant principals play a key role supporting the principal and the executive team leads professional growth across the school.

Introducing you to our new House Captains for 2026. Students voted for these enthusiastic leaders to represent their sporting house. Congratulations to the following students: Gurnang: Torah Gumley, Tegfatehyab Singh, Gabrielle Eiler and Brax Anlezark. Hampton: Jaxon Christie-Johnston, Grace Kennedy and Evie Holden. Jenolan: Halle Danslow, Thomas Ellery, Tatiana Slavicek and Linken Stevens. Vulcan: Jarrah Hussey, James Watson and Toby Whittaker.

Kindergarten Stars
Kindergarten has happily settled into school with lots of smiles, play and fun. They have enjoyed playing with their buddies and new friends. Kindergarten has been busy creating artworks and learning lots of new skills and games. Congratulations Kindergarten on a wonderful start to school.

Swimming Carnival 2026
A wonderful day was had at our annual swimming carnival. Students displayed outstanding sportsmanship and house spirit. There were some wonderful races throughout the day with many students swimming personal best times. Champions will be announced and our competitors will be presented with their ribbons at a special afternoon assembly on Monday, 2.50pm in the hall. Congratulations to everyone who participated.

Administration Team!
Ms Belinda Melchers, Mrs Vicki Byrom and Mrs Clare McMermott support our staff and students on a daily basis. They do an extremely good job from helping teachers with resources to looking after children when they are unwell. They are the first friendly faces you see as you enter our school.

Skill Building
Stage 5 Industrial Technology - Timber students are planning and designing hot pot stands. They are using hand tools and carefully marking out their designs. It's great to see them developing practical skills through this project.

Liquid Patterns in Science
Year 7 MC class conducted an introductory experiment exploring how science explains everyday phenomena like surface tension. They observed how different liquids with unique surface tensions repel each other, creating beautiful coloured patterns in milk - a simple yet stunning demonstration of nature’s hidden forces at work!

Snack Attack
In Stage 4 Food Technology, students explored modern Australian homemade snacks while learning about food safety and preparation skills. They practiced handling ingredients carefully and worked together to prepare and cook Cheesy Twist Dippers and Chicken Strips. It was a great opportunity for students to build their confidence in the kitchen and learn some useful cooking techniques.
