Grandparents Day at Hampton

We recognised the valuable contribution our Grandparents make to our lives. We enjoyed special time together reading, creating art, and playing tennis! We shared a devonshire tea with scones that the students made in cooking class, and enjoyed making memories in the photo booth.

Our Pre-Kindergarten Students Settling Beautifully into Big School

It has been wonderful to see how confidently our Pre-Kindergarten students are settling into life at St Joseph’s. Each Monday they arrive with big smiles, ready to learn, play, and explore. The children are becoming familiar with school routines, building friendships, and growing in independence as they participate in a range of fun, hands-on learning experiences. Their enthusiasm and curiosity are a joy to see, and it’s clear they are already feeling a strong sense of belonging within our school community. A special thank you to Miss Pringle and Year 5 Buddies for making these little people feel so welcome. This could quite possibly be one of the hardest photos we’ve taken in a while!

Bathurst NAIDOC March

On Monday, October 27, our students proudly took part in the Bathurst NAIDOC March, joining the community to celebrate and honour the rich culture and history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The march concluded at Machattie Park, where everyone enjoyed a BBQ and great company. We’re so proud of our students for their enthusiasm, respect, and commitment throughout this meaningful event. Together, we celebrate culture, community, and connection.

Lamb Marking

Stage 5 Agriculture students helped with marking our meat lambs. "Tails, tags, testes and vaccination" was required, and the students openly discussed the importance of these activities, safe work practices , and animal welfare . As one of the final practicals before the new year starts, it was easily visible how many skills have been developed over the year.

Goal Achieved

Over the past ten weeks, six of our students participated in The Run Beyond Project , committing to regular training sessions around the Oberon area . Their hard work paid off on Sunday 28th September when they achieved their goal by completing a 10km race as part of the Three Bridges Run in Parramatta. Well done to Anthony Jolley, Eloura Nielsen, Cattleya Maloney, Ebony Barham, Sophie Wall, and Caleb Fitzpatrick. A special mention to Anthony who placed 10th in his age group and completed the 10km run in 55 minutes . Thank you to Miss Porchae Mobbs for attending the excursion and for running on the day.
