Interesting Irrigation

Students in 4/5A have been learning about how water irrigation systems help water food and fibre crops. They worked in pairs or small groups to plan and build a model of an irrigation system that could water a vegetable garden at school. The students had fun working in groups and using their ideas to create their own water systems!

Oberon High School Farm Visit

KM and K1H had a fantastic time visiting the Oberon High School farm. They loved seeing the new Dorper breed lambs and enjoyed giving them lots of gentle pats with the Stage 5 Agriculture class. It was wonderful to watch the younger students interact with the high school students, sharing smiles and learning together in this special farm experience.

Artistic Identities

K/1H have been learning about self-portraits and collage. We designed colourful and creative backgrounds to contrast our black and white self-portraits. K/1H came up with small blurbs about themselves to enhance their masterpieces. This expression of art helps us to learn about each other and share with the class our interests and personalities.

OPS Visit

Mrs McMahon and Mrs Higgins brought KM and K1H students to the high school for a visit. They learned about the sheep on the school farm and the lambs (which are less than three weeks old). Some asked about the mixed colours - Dad is a Dorper and has a black head. They also heard how farms grow animals and food for all of us to eat. Thank you for visiting - the Stage 5 Agriculture class enjoyed sharing the experience.
