Oberon High School SASS Recognition Week This week is School Administration and Support Staff Recognition Week. Our amazing SASS undertake roles in our school office , provide extra support for students in their classrooms , take care of our school grounds , look after our school farm , support our technology needs , and work behind the scenes in our library, kitchen, and science labs. Metal Majors! I would like to highlight the achievements of our students in Stage 6 Industrial Technology Metal who have recently showcased their completed major works. Hampton Public School Pete Armstrong, our music teacher, brought in his 1960s slide guitar this week and we each had an opportunity to play it while honing our drumming skills and singing a variety of songs.
Oberon Public School Rocketing Readers KM have been working hard on their reading skills this term. Students are building their confidence and independence in word attack, comprehension and fluency. Australia's diverse landscape Students in 5/6MK have begun their Geography studies this term. They have investigated the diversity of Australia's landscape and the characteristics of these environments. New PA System OPS would like to extend a big thank you to Veolia Mulwaree Trust for their $12,100 grant towards our new school bell and PA system. This support will greatly enhance communication within our school, allowing our families to hear and enjoy school performances better. Black Springs Public School Book Week Celebrations Last week we celebrated Book Week at Trunkey Public School - and what an exciting day it was! It was a day filled with creativity, laughter, magic and a love of reading. Our students enjoyed sharing a costume parade, exciting book activities and a yummy book week cake. The day was wonderful and our students loved seeing their small school friends again. Thank you to Mrs Cogdell, her staff and P&C for organising such a special event.
