YES Program at Bathurst TAFE

Last Friday, our students attended the YES program at Bathurst TAFE. Students explored their interests with taster lessons from the Welding and Beauty faculties. It was a great opportunity for them to get hands-on experience and discover new skills in a supportive environment. We can't wait to see where these new passions lead our students in the future.

Kitchen Challenge

Stage 5 Food Technology students prepared and cooked fried rice, putting their culinary skills to the test. The challenge? They had to use ingredients that were already available in the kitchen - no buying new ingredients allowed. This hands-on lesson not only sharpened their cooking skills but also connected to their assessment on resourcefulness and creativity in the kitchen.

Hampton Public School

Hampton Public School joyously commemorated Public Education Week with an array of engaging activities, including open classrooms, shared reading sessions, and a collaborative learning experience. The event fostered intergenerational connections as students, parents, grandparents, and community members collectively crafted scarecrows for the school's kitchen gardens and chicken run. We extend our gratitude to all attendees for making this occasion a resounding success.

Last week we had the privilege of celebrating Australian Primary Principals Day. Our student Leader Niamh presented Mrs Arkley-Smith with a lovely bouquet of flowers and a small gift to thank her for her hard work and commitment to seeing each and every student learn, grow and achieve at Hampton Public School.

Thank you to all principals who genuinely care for your students, staff and the communities around you.

Kids in Space Day

Our students joined their small schools friends from Neville Public School, Rockley Public School, Carcoar Public School, Trunkey Public School, and Lyndhurst Public School for a wonderful day of space exploration! A big thank you to the staff and students of Neville Public School for making this opportunity possible. Our students enjoyed the VR Immersion Experience, learning about all the planets in our solar system. The Planetarium Session was magical, learning about different constellations and listening to Aboriginal Dreamtime stories. They also enjoyed the Rocket Launching STEM activity and Ping Pong Planet craft. Our students look forward to their next learning adventure with their small school friends.
