Do It For Dolly Day On Friday, students and staff from local Bathurst small schools — Carcoar Public School, Trunkey Public School & Black Springs Public School — travelled to Neville Public School to engage in ‘Do It For Dolly Day’, a day for sharing kindness and raising awareness about bullying. We were privileged to welcome guest speakers Prue McCarthy and Margaret from NDIS who shared important insights about living with disabilities. They also led a fun and eye-opening challenge where students tried writing with their non-dominant hand — a simple but powerful way to build empathy. Skye, a Police Youth Officer, gave an engaging and informative presentation about cyberbullying, helping students understand the importance of being safe, respectful, and kind online. Creativity was on full display as students designed their own t-shirts, and the sea of blue worn by all showed strong support for the cause. One of the day’s highlights was the blue colour run — a fun, energetic, and joyful way to end the celebration! A sincere thank you to Principal Mrs Tracey Blattman, her staff and students, our guest speakers, and all the visiting schools and supporters who helped make the day so special. Your kindness and involvement truly made a difference. All funds raised will go towards Dolly’s Dream in creating safe, kind communities for young people!

Our students have also crafted informative science investigation posters that showcase their research on planets, stars and galaxies as well as producing stunning abstract space artworks inspired by the renowned artist Alma Thomas.
