The schools are back with a bang

February 13, 2025

Hampton Public School

What a wonderful start to 2025 we have had this week! Lots of team activities, reading, art, computer research and, of course, riding our bikes! We even had a special visitor today. Loads of excitement when a peacock proudly marched through the front gates this morning. Everyone wants to come out to Hampton! A special welcome goes to Rose and Mila who joined us for their first days at big school! Well done girls!

This year we have the same teaching team as we had at the end of 2024, although some of the days have changed. Our student ages this year allow us to have two distinct groupings of students, each group studying the same literacy and numeracy units of work. The units are combined units of work designed for small schools, and we are further adapting these for our context at Hampton.

Each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, the students will be in the two separate class groupings. On Mondays and Fridays the students will all be combined as one school group.

The main classroom will be called the Kookaburra Room this year, and the library will be called the Rosella Room.

A big shoutout to our nude food heroes!

Nude food day will occur each Monday. Here is a sample of some delicious lunch boxes. Let’s inspire each other to keep it fresh, fun and wrapper free!

Benny the Bull's Thoughts on Our Fantastic School Uniform!

Hey Oberon High legends! It’s your mate Benny the Bull here, and I’ve got to say - our school uniform is absolutely bull-iant!

Not only does it make us look smart, united, and full of school pride, but it also means no stressing about what to wear each morning (more time for breakfast - yes, please! ). Our uniform represents respect, teamwork, and belonging, showing everyone that we’re part of something special.

Whether you're rocking the crisp school shirt or the comfy jumper you’re helping to create a strong and positive school identity. Plus, let’s be real - it looks awesome!

So, let’s wear our uniform with pride, show off that Oberon spirit, and keep making our school the best place to learn and grow!

Stay legendary, Oberon High!

PS I think Mrs Overhall was a bit annoyed that I broke into her office to use her computer – sorry not sorry!
