Asian Country Replica

Our final project for the year in Stage 3 Geography is designing and creating a miniature version of an Asian Country of our choice. Throughout the semester we have been looking at how different Asian countries have different relationships and dynamics compared to Australia. Our goal in making these replicas is to take a snapshot of traditional clothing, food, landmarks and culture to and roll it into a portable landscape, justifying what makes it unique.

In 5/6W, students have been embracing the festive season and tapping into their creativity. To get into the Christmas spirit, they’ve worked together to build our classroom tree and made delicious Rudolph cookies. Hampton Public School

On December 3 we held a Teddy Bears' Picnic at Hampton to mark our final "Transition to Kindergarten" visit for this year. We have been lucky to have Rose and Milla joining us every second Tuesday this semester. We can't wait until they join us in Kindergarten for 2025! Today we played games, drew teddy bears, decorated biscuits, cooked pikelets and finished our time off with a terrific picnic feast. And of course our favourite teddies were there for all the fun!

Congratulations to our new Student of the Week - Luca.

Luca works really hard in all areas of school, but it is her writing that is really impressing at the moment. Luca creates wonderful sentences that are carefully put together and she loves to share her work with the class.

Keep up the great work, Luca!

As we approach the end of the year, our Year 5 class has been bustling with excitement and creativity! We are in the final stages of preparation for our much-anticipated Christmas concert, where our students are showcasing their talents and hard work. The energy in the classroom is fantastic as we put the finishing touches on our performances.

In addition to our concert preparations, we have been diligently wrapping up our school work. Students have been reflecting on the knowledge they've gained throughout the year and are excited to share their learning with their peers.

To add to the festive spirit, we have embarked on a delightful Christmas art project inspired by the "12 Days of Christmas." Each day, students will create unique artworks that capture the essence of this beloved holiday song. We can’t wait to see the creativity and imagination that our students will bring to their pieces!

As we celebrate the achievements of the year and look forward to the holiday season, we would like to thank all the parents and caregivers for their continued support. Wishing everyone a joyful and restful Christmas break!

Warm regards,
Mr. Brown and Mr. Harvey
