Pets as Therapy!

Students in 2/5W have the pleasure of visiting Pets as Therapy every fortnight! During this time the students interact with therapy animals. This brings joy and calmness to our class. We even get to take home some vegetables from their garden.

International Women's Day

Gracie, Arrina, Bentley, Harry, Mrs Brown and Mrs Pointon were fortunate to attend the International Women's Day dinner held at the Oberon Library. We shared a meal and heard incredible stories from inspiring women living in our local community. Our students assisted Council staff throughout the evening and represented our school with pride.

Athletics Carnival

We held our Athletics Carnival at the Oberon Recreation Ground. It was great to see so many students participate in the events. Students wore their house colours proudly and were motivated to perform at their best. Due to the rain, there are a few events that need to be completed and students will be informed shortly regarding the details. Overall, it was pleasing to see so many students compete to give the day a fantastic and positive atmosphere.

Open Girls Netball

Our netball team attended the Open Girls Western Netball in Orange. This was the first time the team played together and they managed to win 3 out of 8 games. The girls came up against several teams made up of rep and WRAS players but still had skillful moments and managed to score some points against these tough teams. Despite the games being challenging, the girls maintained a positive attitude throughout the day and showed excellent sportsmanship. We were also very excited to show off our brand new netball dresses which were a stand out and received many compliments (even from our rural cup rivals Canowindra).

International Women’s Day Dinner

International Women's Day is held on March 8th each year. Oberon Council this year held a dinner at the Oberon Library and Community Centre to mark the occasion. The two speakers inspired the guests by talking about their personal experiences.
