Oberon High School

Masterpiece!

Year 11 student Grace Weatherstone started her Visual Design preliminary cosplay costume at the start of this year. The 5 metre  velvet coat with hand-made gold embroidery is lined with cotton. Boning panels were sewn in the top to add structure and flair to the overall design. Grace's cosplay design drew inspiration from the famous Willy Wonka.

Soccer Success

Congratulations to Jorja Taylor who was selected in the Western CHS Open Girls Soccer team. What a wonderful opportunity for a very talented player. Our Relieving Head Teacher Mathematics/PDHPE , Mrs Jasmin Christie-Johnston, continues to coach the team since 2018. We can't wait to follow their journey and we wish them luck in the upcoming NSW CHS Tournament held in Coffs Harbour in May.

Oberon Public School

The annual Oberon Rodeo was held last weekend. This is a very popular event within our community. I would like to extend our appreciation to the Oberon Rodeo Committee who have very generously donated $1498.00 to our breakfast club. Our breakfast club operates 3 days a week and provides breakfast to all students. Thank you to Bree Rowlandson who attended our school today to present our cheque.

Sound Explorers!

Our school band is off to a great start and is at full capacity. Members have received their instruments and are learning their first three notes. We look forward to our band developing their musical skills further and performing at school functions later in the year.

Fabulous Friday Attendance

Congratulations to our attendance raffle winner, Eva Brennan. Eva came to school 95% or more last fortnight, and it paid off. Eva received a breakfast hamper to share with her family. We are very proud that we had 186 of our students in the raffle. What a great achievement.

Students and staff came together to contribute to the community by participating in Clean Up Australia Day. Armed with gloves and bags they did an excellent job of cleaning up our school grounds.
