Fun in the Sun

Kindergarten have been learning that letters make sounds and that these sounds can then be put together to create words. This week they learnt the letter 's' and made suns to share their learning.

Amazing Acknowledgements

It has been a very busy start to the year in 1/2B! Students have been settling into new routines, exploring quality texts and strengthening their vocabulary and word work. The class were super excited to receive Opsie Owl at assembly for being respectful, responsible and safe students.

Historians

Stage 2 students have been exploring features and the diversity in their local community. They have enjoyed researching symbols and emblems of significance and the different celebrations and commemorations held in Australia.

Oberon High School

New SRC Executive

The executive committee of the Student Representative Council were elected, they are:

  • President - Emma Randle
  • Vice-President - Sala Rounds
  • Secretary - Lahvera Lefaoseu
  • Treasurer - Serenity Saville

Congratulations to the new committee! The executive committee will work with the rest of the SRC to make 2024 a huge success, by both representing the students' ideas and needs and leading the student body in fundraising, athletic, and academic pursuits.

Pita Pockets!

Our seniors prepared and made Pita Pockets during their hospitality class. Students are learning to make different breads using fresh dough. Working with fresh dough allows students to understand the science behind bread-making and develop practical culinary skills.

Supercar Friday

For the second week in a row students from Oberon High were able to attend a Friday practice at Mount Panorama. This time for the Supercar Bathurst 500.

St Joseph's Catholic School

Our Year 6 students gained a glimpse of High School life by visiting MacKillop College - Bathurst and St Stanislaus' College for a Taste of High School Day. Many thanks to both schools for providing this valuable opportunity for our students.
