RFS recognises years of service

The Rural Fire Service had ceremonies on September 26 to recognise the service that its members have provided over the years.
The recipients from Oberon RFS were:
- Lance Sulley National Medal with two clasps - recognising his outstanding 40 years of service.
- Andrew Malony NSW RFS Long Service Medal - clasp - recognising his 20 years of service.
- Liam Bailey NSW RFS Long Service Medal - 10 Year Medal.

But wait, there's more around Oberon.
- Ken Stapleton received a Long Service Medal and sixth clasp acknowledging his 71 years with the Burraga Brigade. Since joining in 1955, Ken has been a highly valued member, acting in a number of important roles including Deputy Captain, Brigade Training Officer and Permit Officer.
- Neil Francis of the Burraga Brigade has given 62 years of service, including more than 30 years as a Deputy Captain and Group Officer.
- Jenolan Caves Brigade's Barry Richard and Paul Kurtz of Norway Brigade were each acknowledged for 61 years of service.
