There's a homeless person in town. Shock. Horror.

January 29, 2026

There's a homeless person in town, His name is Kayne and his presence has produced two sorts of responses.

The first sort of response has been to help. People have provided him with some food and even some temporary accommodation. Someone gave him one of those small one-person tents (called a "swag") so he would have somewhere safe to sleep. He likes his independence but that can only go so far before anyone needs help from others.

The second type of response has been to say that nobody should bother helping him because he's mentally ill (as if that is some sort of crime), he's a drug addict (there is no evidence of this) and best of all, his presence reduces property values.

So which group are you in?

A person who many people claim was the best teacher in history once advised his followers to "support the weak" and that it was "better to give than receive". Obviously, some people didn't listen.
