When you need a shot of caffeine

Everyone loves a good cup of coffee (or even tea or hot chocolate) and there is no shortage in Oberon of places to get one. A quick wander around town turned up the ones in the pictures below. You can also get a coffee at one of the many service stations, although you might have to make it yourself.

Note: Pick Of The Bunch does takeaway only, but there are usually some chairs outside if you want to sit down. At the time of writing, Peter's Cafe was closed for renovations but hopefully will be back soon.

Minor whinge - All of these places seem to close in the early afternoon. When I lived in Parramatta my favourite coffee shop didn't open until 3pm. But I'm not going to move back there just for that. (That favourite coffee shop has now gone of course as part of the "development" of the city.)

And if you are prepared to go a bit out of town, you can get an excellent cup at either Get Roasted at O'Connell or Mayfield Garden.
