2026 Oberon Business Awards

Oberon's Night of Nights happened on Friday, September 4, when a capacity crowd filled the auditorium at Oberon RSL for the annual Business Awards presented by the Oberon Business and Tourism Association.

With music provided by Time to be Frank, wonderful table decorations by Anna Shaw from Kringle Cottage and Silver Bells Events, fine food prepared by the Wok & Grill Bistro and desserts built by Prue Kavalieros nobody could have had less than a good time.

There was record number of nominations for the awards and just to be a finalist was an achievement (Oberon Matters was one of the finalists), but the real congratulations have to go to the category winners:

• Outstanding Small Business - The Milbrey
• Outstanding Micro Business - Silver Bells Events
• Outstanding Large Business - Mayfield Garden
• Outstanding Visitor Experience - Waldara Farm
• Outstanding Community Organisation - Black Springs Community Association
• Outstanding New Business - Oberon Skin and Beauty
• And our community-voted favourites:
  • Service with a Smile - Tatiana, IGA
  • Favourite Hospitality - Cafe Oberon
  • Favourite Tradie - Hayley, Oberon Skin and Beauty

A special award was also given to Wayne Barker to acknowledge his 48 years providing the town with meat as good as you can get anywhere (and better than in some places).
