Burraga's ANZAC celebrationMay 7, 2026 The village of Burraga held its ANZAC Day event on the weekend after the actual day. There are so many events of a similar nature that spreading them out makes sense. Nobody would ever expect a huge turnout at Burraga because it's really a small place, but enough residents came out to make the event a success. Prayers were read by some locals, wreaths were laid, music was played, the Oath was recited, ... Small events like this are just as important as the huge celebrations in cities or even those in larger places like Oberon. The names on the memorial tell us that. Lest we forget.
