First Edith Seasonal Markets for 2026

January 29, 2026

After a couple of hear wave days things were looking a bit scorching for the first Edith Seasonal Markets for 2026, but the day was a little bit cooler and the strong winds managed to hold off long enough for everyone to have some fun before the stall got blown away. The event at the Edith Recreation Ground happened on Saturday, January 10. Edith might be a small village but it can put on a good show.

The organisers had this to say:

What a incredible day at our first ever Edith Seasonal Markets! Despite the hot, windy weather, our community truly showed up - and we couldn't be more grateful.

A huge thank you to our incredible stallholders for bringing such beautiful, high-quality produce, handmade goods and creative talent. Your passion, effort and resilience made the market what it was, and the stallholder turnout was nothing short of amazing.

To our shoppers and visitors - thank you for wandering, chatting, supporting local businesses and sticking it out in the heat. The engagement, conversations, smiles and community spirit made the day so special.

And to our Edith community and volunteers, thank you for backing this market, lending a hand, and helping create such a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere. Days like this remind us why local markets matter.

We're so proud of what was created together even with only deciding to start the market only 2 weeks ago and can't wait to do it all again soon.

Thank you for supporting local, handmade and homegrown - even when the weather tests us!

Oberon Matters wandered around pointing the camera at things.

It was a great day. The next Edith Seasonal Markets will be on April 11.
