The youth hall is finally here

It's finally here. The long awaited Youth Hall at Oberon's Lifechurch was officially opened on November 15. The first plans for this were laid out in 2019 but sometimes things just don't go as nicely as everyone would like. The first big hurdle was when the contracted building company disappeared and the work has continued since then using essentially volunteer labour, with the experts brought in for the things that only experts are allowed to do such as plumbing and electrical work.
Pastors Pip and Bob Saltmiras have to be congratulated for bringing into being the dreams of earlier pastors.
The hall will provide a safe place for the young people of Oberon to get together, have some fun and forge new relationships and friendships. The hall is currently used for Arvo Life on Tuesdays and Thursdays but will inevitably cater for many more activities as time goes on.
