October was Pink Up Oberon MonthNovember 6, 2025 Words by Kathy Sajowitz. Thank you to our generous Oberon Community for participating in Pink Up Oberon during October. Whether you attended the Morning Tea, purchased raffle tickets, entered the Photo Competition, dressed up your shopfront or popped your spare change into one of the donation boxes located around town.... your contribution is so much appreciated.
Approximately $1642 was raised in total, this amount will be split 50/50 between Breast Cancer Research (Pink Ribbon) and the Glen McGrath Foundation. Raffle Winners: 1st Prize - Malcolm Graham, Pink Shopfront Winners: 1st Prize - Kringle Cottage, Well done all and thanks to OBTA for sponsoring the competition this year. Photo Comp Winners: 1st Prize - Jaclyn Burns, Special thanks to Victoria Bewley (Oberon Council), Rhiannon Mijovic (Library Manager and the best balloon blower in history) and Friends of the Oberon Library members for their amazing efforts. A special mention to the Oberon businesses that supported Pink Up Month either by participating, donating or having a collection box instore - and to the wonderful Oberon Community who always show such generosity of spirit - thank you so much. Be assured together we can and do make a difference
