It's the Pistol Club's birthday

September 18, 2025

It might not be the best known club around town but the Oberon Pistol Club is 40 years old. What makes this even more amazing is that many of the original members are still around, as well as the members who built the club building and firing ranges.

The club's first President, Doug Enrick, was there for the 40th.

To jog everyone's memories there were some articles from the long gone Oberon Review about events at the range back when the Club started, as well as photos of the construction of the site.

Members attending the birthday party had a perfect day for reminiscing and remembering, and it was good to see many of the old time and original members there.

Unfortunately, the Club doesn't have a web site and the Facebook page hasn't been updated for several years so it's a bit hard to find out about what's on and how to join. The club house and range are at 399 Old Shooters Hill Road, so if you are interested in joining the club or learning to shoot you can look for the red flags at the gate on a Saturday and drop in for a chat.
