Oberon's New Citizens

March 20, 2025

A Citizenship ceremony was held at the Oberon Council on Monday, March 17.

Oberon Council had this to say:

Congratulations to Oberon's Newest Australian Citizens

What better time to celebrate new beginnings than during Harmony Week - a time to recognise and embrace the diversity that makes Australia so special!

Today, we had the honour of welcoming our newest Australian citizens as they took their Citizenship Pledge, officially joining our great nation.

Congratulations to:

  • Coralie Lagesse Hardy
  • Rozana Puhi Whakaneke
  • Fern Makelita Hepi-Lefaoseu
  • Abel Te-Waaiti Lefaoseu
  • Lahvera Charlotte Lefaoseu
  • Quayana Lucia Lefaoseu

Their citizenship was conferred by Mayor Andrew McKibbin, on behalf of the Minister for Immigration, Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs.

We are proud to have you as part of our community and wish you all the best in this new chapter of your journey. Welcome home!

Each new citizen was presented with an Australian plant by Oberon Rotary.
