Fun at the Colour Run

January 30, 2025

Creative Community Concepts were back in Oberon on January 15 for a Colour Run at the Oberon Recreation Ground. About 170 kids turned up in perfect weather for some sports practice and the real event - running around the oval getting covered in coloured paint after being hosed down from a fire engine. This is not something that parents dress their kids in their best clothes for.

Several sporting activities were provided including football, cricket and some that were a mystery but looked like a lot of fun.

There was even music, provided by the hard working Dave Webb.

Finally it was time for the real action of the day - the Colour Run, but first everyone had to get good and wet to make sure that the paint stuck to clothes and exposed body parts.

Once everyone was suitably wet it was time for a lap or three of the oval with strategically placed paint throwers.

To end the excitement before sandwiches and drinks for lunch, as many kids as could be herded together crowded in for a group photo to remind their parents that this week's washing would be a little different to normal.

CCC will be back in Oberon after the start of the school year with their regular sessions introducing youngsters to a variety of sports. There might even be another Colour Run to officially launch the year's activities.
